Meet Me In St. Louie
Posted by Judy Taylor on
We didn't post a blog all week last week because we have been playing catch-up after our wonderful trip to the beautiful city of St. Louis, Missouri. We celebrate our anniversary each year in St. Louis watching a couple of St. Louis Cardinal baseball games. But this year since we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and our son and daughter-in-laws 25th wedding anniversary, we took the whole family on a family vacation to the beautiful gateway city.
We stayed at the elegant Hilton At The Ballpark Hotel which is our favorite place to stay each year.
We walked through the park along the mighty Mississippi River and by the Gateway Arch (Gateway to The West) and ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory.
And then, of course, we took in two St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Games at Busch Stadium, my favorite ballpark in America.
We gorged or ballpark hot dogs and nachos and watched the Cardinals win both games.
The grandchildren even got a chance to take in the St. Louis Science Museum. With over 750 exhibits in a complex of over 300,000 square feet, it is among the largest of its type in the United States and totally FREE to the public.
Can't wait until next summer to have the opportunity again to root on the Cardinals as we catch a few games at Busch Stadium and enjoy the wonderful city of St. Louis.
