Last Days Of Summer and Last Days of Summer Workshops

With the lazy days of summer quickly winding down to only 10 days until Autumn.....Lonesome Pine Quilts Summer Quilting Workshops are also quickly coming to a close. We only have three classes left to close out our list of Summer Workshops. But keep an eye out for one Fall Workshop that we have coming up in October and a Christmas Workshop coming up in December. Here is a list of our last three Summer Worskshops.
LET'S CHENILLE, BABY!
We had this class earlier in the summer, but it was so popular that it has been requested that we do a second class. This workshop is scheduled for Saturday, August 17 from 10:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. and teaches the art of chenille quilting. Cost of the class is $35 and includes 3 panels, chenille cutter, and instruction. For this workshop you will need to bring your sewing machine, scissors, safety pins, marking pen, and one yard of backing fabric. Backing fabric is not included in the cost of the class, but you can purchase it in the shop the day of class. A light lunch is provided for this workshop.
PINEAPPLE SURPRISE
This workshop is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th from 10:00-11:30 and teaches how to make a quick and easy pieced pineapple block quilt. Cost of the workshop is $25. This is a one color quilt project using just one color and background. Fabric requirements are six half yard cuts of one color in various shades of lights, mediums, and dark fabrics as well as different designs, and three one yard cuts of background fabrics If you need help picking out fabrics, you can purchase your fabrics at the shop the day of the class. You will also need to bring your sewing machine, scissors, rotary cutter, seam ripper, marking pens, pins, rulers (whatever notions you sew with). If you have a tri recs ruler, bring that to class. If you don't have one, you can use the free template provided in the pattern or purchase a tri recs at the shop.
MODERN VIEWS BEGINNER PIECING WORKSHOP
This is beginner piecing class on Saturday, August 24 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Cost of the class is $45 and includes three one yard cuts of fabrics (you will get to choose), pattern book, and instruction. This workshop teaches how to pick out colors, rotary cutting, strip and half square triangle piecing, squaring up your blocks, etc. You will need to bring your sewing machine, scissors, seam ripper, pins, marking pen, rotary cutter and ruler, etc. If you have a square up ruler, bring that with you to class. All of these supplies are in the shop that you can purchase on day of the class if you don't already have them.
