We didn't post a blog all week last week because we have been playing catch-up after our wonderful trip to the beautiful city of St. Louis, Missouri. We celebrate our anniversary each year in St. Louis watching a couple of St. Louis Cardinal baseball games. But this year since we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and our son and daughter-in-laws 25th wedding anniversary, we took the whole family on a family vacation to the beautiful gateway city.
Okay I admit it. I am an Autumn-O-Holic. I love autumn But I'm not apologizing for it because I read an article this week that the love for autumn is a scientific fact. According to Kathryn Lively, professor of sociology at Dartmouth College, our obsession with the season is a social construct that starts when we’re children.
In the Mountains of the Ozarks, we are all about fall, football, and hunting. There is just something about the beautiful colors of fall leaves in the wooded mountains, the bright orange pumpkins and the smell of pumpkin spice, the roar of the crowd at Razorback Stadium, and the crisp chill in the air that has captured the heart of most of us living in Northwest Arkansas.
I know it's not fall yet, but all these new fall fabrics coming out are sure putting me in the mood for fall. I don't know why but, I love bright orange pumpkins and black ravens in the fall. So needless to say, I love this RAVEN'S CLAW collection from Northcott. For more information on this fall collection, visit our website at lonesomepinequilts.com
