THEY WILL COME

While the U. S. Postal Service has no official motto, the popular believe is that it does and it is...... "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds".   Well, after this past weekend, I have come up with a motto for quilters.... "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night.....NOR LACK OF ELECTRICITY....stays the quilter from the swift completion of their appointed quilt classes."

Our power was out at the shop this weekend for 13 hours due to a storm the night before.  So on Saturday morning I thought, "Who is going to show up for a quilt class in the dark with no lights and no heat?"  Well, to my surprise, 35 dedicated quilters showed up for our annual Christmas Block Party Saturday morning.  And we had a blast!!  Kudos to those 35 faithful women who not only sat in the dark with no heat, but used the flashlight on their phones to shop for fabric.  Talk about dedication!!!!!

I just wanted to take a minute to spotlight a line of fabric that you probably couldn't see in the dark, but is absolutely adorable in the light.  It is a new Little Red Riding Hood Collection from Riley Blake called "LITTLE RED IN THE WOODS".

This adorable collection is available in yardage or precut jelly rolls and 5" charm packs.
