Jelly Filled Quilting

Posted by Judy Taylor on

Who doesn't love sweet, sugary foods?  Sweets at our house don't last very long, and after the sugar rush is gone, all that remains is the sorrow you feel after a trip to the bathroom scale.  When Jelly Rolls and other "dessert precuts" were introduced to the quilting world, it was a revelation.  For the first time ever, quilters could purchase a complete tasting of a fabric collection at a reasonable cost, perfectly coordinated, and already pre-cut into strips, squares, and so on.  Talk about convenience.

Even though Jelly Rolls are the inspiration for Vanessa Goertzen's book, Jelly Filled,, she will even show you how to make substitutions using what you already have in your fabric pantry.  This 128 page book contains 18 quilt patterns made from 2-1/2" strips for all skill levels.

Don't have a strip set or jelly roll?  How about this Keep Shining Bright 40 Karat strip set from Wilmington Prints?

Or maybe this Sugar Sack II 30's Reproduction Jelly Roll from Windham Fabrics.  Or for the upcoming holidays, how about this Ho Ho Ho strip set from Wilmington featuring beautiful red and green Essentials fabrics.

Check out the many, many strip sets and Jelly Rolls available on our website or stop by the shop and pick up your copy of JELLY FILLED QUILTS and pick up a jelly roll and get started. Open up a sweet new range of possibilities with precut strips.
