Caramel Marshmallow Rice Krispie Treats

Add a special touch this year to your fall Rice Krispie Treats by adding caramel.  The taste is amazing!!

First Layer:

1/4 cup butter
1 (10 Oz) bag miniature marshmallows
6 Cups Rice Krispies

Melt butter over low heat.  Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well blended.

Remove from heat. Add cereal and toss until well coated.  Press into 11x16 pan and cool in refrigerator while you make the caramel mixture. 

Second Layer:

Melt the following in a bowl in the microwave.

1 package caramels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup butter

Mix all ingredients for second layer, melt in microwave, butter and pour over the cooled layer and refrigerate.

Then make 2nd layer of Rice Krispie Treats.  Press on top of caramel layer.  Store tightly covered in refrigerator.  Cut into bars.  Enjoy!
